Hi! I’m Lindsey Frank, and I am grateful you are here!
I invite you into my life’s story…
There was a time when I didn’t trust my body,
And I didn’t know how to trust myself.
What I guide now didn’t begin as something I intentionally chose,
It chose me.
And it began as something I had to learn how to live and embody.
Through my transformation story, I hope it awakens your own wings within.
Honor your Caterpillar story—because it is what brought you to this moment.
My Caterpillar Self: Where I Began
Like many people, my story didn’t begin when I found my purpose.
It began when something felt off.
In college, I started experiencing anxiety and panic attacks—along with an irregular heartbeat that led to stress tests and heart monitoring.
Inside my body, it felt like something was wrong.
Like I might pass out, lose control, and at times, like I might die.
My body lived in a constant state of nervous system dysregulation.
When the intensity would come and go, I would disconnect from myself to ignore the sensations, uncertainty, and fear.
I learned how to leave my body and move into my head.
To stay busy.
To function.
To appear “fine”.
And for a while, that worked…
Until it didn’t.
The Chrysalis: When Everything Begins to Change
The Signs
There was a point where I could no longer push through.
What had started years earlier—anxiety, panic, and an irregular heart rhythm—had become something I couldn’t ignore anymore.
By 2016, I was burned out.
I was working as a special educator in a toxic environment that felt deeply misaligned, and the ways I had learned to cope were no longer working.
From the outside, everything looked steady.
But inside, my body was in constant motion.
Racing thoughts.
A heart that didn’t feel steady.
A nervous system that didn’t know how to rest.
The tinglies—as I would call them—and the feeling of death with each wave became too “normal” to be normal.
…a life transition was coming.
Learning to Listen
In December of that year, I was guided to a place called Body & Brain.
It was the first time I experienced practices that didn’t just help me manage what I was feeling; they helped me come back into my body.
To breathe differently.
To feel what I had been avoiding
To stay present instead of escaping.
The shift wasn’t dramatic, it was steady.
Over time, something began to change.
When I returned to the doctor for my progress check, my heart rhythm had stabilized. The EKG heart monitor showed “Within Normal Limits”.
The care team looked at my chart and couldn’t believe it…
When they asked what changed, I said, “I decided to take my life back.”
I could feel the shift within, because I was no longer abandoning myself in the moments I needed myself most.
When the Inner World Shifts
As I began to change internally, my life began to reorganize around the changes.
I received a call to step into a new role as the districtwide Climate and Social Emotional Learning Coach.
A role to co-create the department and to support all grade levels across schools with integrating social and emotional learning, while cultivating well-being and belonging.
This opened the door to begin my yoga teacher certification path.
An opportunity that asked me to expand my impact and reflected who I was becoming.
Looking back, I can see that nothing about that transition was random.
It followed the shift that had already begun within me…
And it was only just beginning.
Inside The Chrysalis
There is a part of transformation that is hard to explain unless you’ve lived it.
The part that doesn’t feel like growth, it feels like everything is breaking down.
Where what once worked no longer does.
Where your identity begins to shift.
Where the life you’ve built no longer fits in the same way.
In the language of the butterfly: This is the chrysalis.
A space where the caterpillar doesn’t simply grow wings, it dissolves. There are even cells within the chrysalis—called imaginal cells—that carry the blueprint of what is to come.
But before that…
Everything becomes unrecognizable.
That’s what this season felt like.
And it didn’t happen just once…
It happened in layers—a reminder that the chrysalis phase takes time, but when we trust the process and continue to take action, the wings can form.
The Collective Chrysalis
During the early days of the pandemic, as the world slowed down and turned inward, I had a vivid dream that felt more like a message.
It was the sound of birth…literally, audibly in my dream…and not just any kind of birth…
When I woke, I felt something clearly:
That this moment in our world was not just disruption, it was a kind of rebirth: A return to the heart—to open the heart of humanity.
That insight didn’t stay within me,
It moved through me.
Within a few weeks, I felt a clear pull to write and create something that could support others, especially children, in understanding and moving through change.
That’s when my first children’s book began to take shape:
Big Change, Better You, Beautiful World (Gran Cambio, Mejor Corazón, Mundo Hermoso)
Not as something I planned…
But as something that was asking to come through my heart and hands.
Redirection
Around that same time, a creative partnership I had been building came to an unexpected end.
What followed was confusion, hurt, and a sense of betrayal.
And also… clarity.
An invitation to trust what was coming through me, and to bring it to life in my own way.
It didn’t feel like a gift in the moment.
But it became one as I grew (and later on was the spark for my second children’s book, The Superpower of Your HEART. It is also thanks to this collaboration that I found Mindvalley and my teacher, Anodea Judith.)
Trusting the Unknown
During that same season, I faced a personal health scare that required surgery and a biopsy.
Walking into the hospital alone, I remember passing a glass case with golden butterflies.
Something in me moved; a quiet knowing from a bigger heart:
“You are going to be okay.”
That moment stayed with me.
Not because it explained anything, but because it reminded me to trust what I couldn’t yet see.
It was the moment I realized that the butterfly became a guide to me.
The Moment that Changed Everything
There was a moment during the chrysalis phase that I will never forget, just three days after my dog of 19 years transitioned.
…Getting the call from my mom…Arriving at the hospital…Receiving news from the doctor that validated a hidden truth, and then witnessing my dad’s pain in the hospital.
His body uncontrollably rocking, unable to respond, his voice gone, his energy trapped…I looked into his eyes.
I didn’t just see fear, I felt something deeper…
A life that had more to give.
More to express.
More that hadn’t yet been fully lived.
In that moment, something became clear to me in a way I couldn’t ignore:
A life not lived in purpose or potential is not a life lived.
That moment stayed with me.
Not as fear.
But as truth…and became a catalyst for yet another life transition.
To transition from teaching, spread my wings, and step into the next level of expansion, bringing me closer to my true purpose.
(The picture is the day my dad came home from the hospital after his miracle health recovery. Grateful for another chance with my dad.)
What This Season Taught Me
Through all of it—the anxiety, the burnout, the uncertainty, the loss, the redirection—I began to understand something I now see in so many others: We can appear steady on the outside, while something within us is asking for attention, care, and change.
When we don’t listen, it finds a way to be heard. Not as something to fix, but as something to meet.
As I began to listen to my body, my breath, and my inner guidance, my outer world began to change alongside it.
Not all at once, but in ways that felt more honest, aligned, and sustainable.
This is why the work I guide always begins with awareness of what is happening within,
because everything that follows is shaped from that place.
My Butterfly Self: The Becoming
The Becoming
There wasn’t a single moment where everything suddenly made sense, it was a series of choices.
To listen.
To trust.
To keep moving forward, even when the path wasn’t fully clear.
Over time, what I had been living through began to take shape as something I could offer. Not as a “perfected version” of myself, but as someone who had learned how to stay present in the process of becoming.
From Embodiment to Systemic Change
As my inner world continued to shift, my work in the world expanded alongside it.
I stepped into leadership roles, supported educators and systems at a larger scale, and eventually became the President and Director of Educating Mindfully, a nonprofit dedicated to mindfulness-based learning across communities.
We built frameworks.
Developed programs.
Reached people across the world.
…and then we needed to make the difficult decision to sunset the organization, given the current landscape and dynamics.
That work and mission mattered…It still does.
However, through that experience, I came to understand something more clearly:
It’s not that these approaches weren’t working.
It’s that the systems they were within are still learning how to truly hold them.
Systemic change begins with us.
Real, lasting change isn’t something that can simply be implemented; it has to be embodied—and embodiment doesn’t happen all at once.
It happens person by person…choice by choice…moment by moment.
This experience also reminded me that cycles of change go beyond ourselves and are in organizations and the collective world.
A Different Way Forward
That understanding changed how I saw my role in my purpose; not as someone who would try to change systems from the outside, but as someone who supports the people within them.
Because when people change, systems eventually follow—Not through force, but through lived experience, presence, alignment, and a different way of showing up.
My purpose expanded yet again to realize that the world had become my classroom. That this work is needed across all sectors—not just in education—to connect with heart-centered changemakers who are ready to unfold their wings and their service in the world.
…The moment I realized this shift and started taking action, everything came into alignment. The path I had been on to get me to this moment all made sense, and the opportunities beyond education opened in ways I never knew were possible.

Being a Butterfly Effect Catalyst™
The Work I Guide Now
Today, I guide heart-centered changemakers through moments of becoming, especially when they feel the pull toward something more, but aren’t fully sure how to move forward.
Through The Butterfly Within® signature Guided Metamorphosis, HEART-Centered Decision-Making Model, and the spaces I create for reflection and integration, I support people in reconnecting with themselves, making aligned decisions, and stepping into their next level of life with clarity and trust.
This work is not about becoming someone new.
It’s about remembering who you are…
your purpose and impact,
and choosing to live from that place.

The Bridge Across Generations
What is unique about my approach is that nearly everything I create and guide for adult transformation is designed to extend beyond the individual and can be adapted for children.
The way we show up as adults becomes the environment that others—especially children—experience.
We are always modeling and embodying something.
This is why I also write children’s books, lead special experiences for children, and guide both adults and those who support younger generations.
Because the work doesn’t stay with you—It moves through you. Into your relationships, your work, and into the lives you touch.
Why This Work Exists
The Guided Metamorphosis exists because this kind of transformation needs space, support, and time to be embodied—not just understood.
Opening the heart isn’t a concept, it’s a process.
When that process is supported, something shifts.
Not just within you, but in every space you are a part of.
This is how change happens.
Not all at once.
But through individuals choosing to live differently, aligned with their purpose.
To listen inward.
To act with intention.
To embody what they know is possible.
This is what I call becoming a Butterfly Effect Catalyst™.
A reminder that even the smallest shifts can create meaningful change in the world around us.
Our world is counting on us to BE the catalyst for change, to BE the butterfly effect in our communities we serve.
How We Can Transform Together
The Butterfly Within® Services
There isn’t one way to move through transformation, and there isn’t one place to begin.
Some people arrive here in a moment of clarity.
Others in uncertainty.
Others after knowing for a long time that something needs to change.
Wherever you are… there is a way to begin.

-
This is the heart of the work.
The Guided Metamorphosis is an experience designed for those who feel ready to step into a meaningful shift—not just in what they’re doing, but in how they are living.
It begins with a full-day immersion, followed by a 30-day container of support, reflection, and integration.
Transformation doesn’t happen in a single moment,
It unfolds.
And when it is supported over time, it becomes something you can live,
not something you have to keep searching for. -
Sometimes what’s needed is a short-term, high-impact, focused space.
A moment to pause.
To reflect.
To move something forward that has been sitting just beneath the surface.Catalyst Sessions are designed for that.
They are responsive, grounded, and centered in what is present for you, offering clarity, breakthroughs, and momentum when you need it most.
-
There are seasons of life that ask for more.
More space.
More reflection.
More support as things unfold over time. For those moments, I offer a limited number of ongoing coaching spaces.
This is not about quick answers.
It’s about being supported through the full process of becoming, with guidance that meets you where you are and evolves as you do.
-
Some parts of transformation don’t need more thinking.
They need space to settle.
To move.
To be supported in a different way.Heart-centered energy healing offers a gentle, supportive experience where your body can restore balance.
Sessions may include light touch, hands just above the body, or distance support.
Each experience is different.
-
This work also extends into shared spaces.
I guide workshops, retreats, keynotes, and experiences for schools, organizations, and communities—
bringing together emotional well-being, embodiment, and heart-centered leadership. These spaces are designed not just for learning, but for experiencing what it means to live this work.
Experiences are always created with both adults and children in mind.
Because meaningful change happens when it is lived across generations.
